Player of the Week Matt Kinnunen, Melville Millionaires 1989 F Matt Kinnunen (Calgary AB) fired six goals and one assist in three games last week to earn this week's nod. Kinnunen had a hat trick in Saturday night's victory over the Yorkton Terriers and he's been an integral part of Melville's recent hot streak that has seen them win six games in a row. For the season, Kinnunen has 24 goals and 21 assists in 54 games. Runners-up: Mark Owen & Michael Jordan, Melville; Rhett Bly & Brennan Wrigley, Weyburn; Marc-Andre Carre, La Ronge. Defenseman of the Week Jordan Reeve, Melville Millionaires 1989 D Jordan Reeve (Regina SK) is starting to round into midseason form after missing a large chunk of the year due to a spleen injury. Reeve's offensive numbers are starting to expand as well. He racked up seven helpers in three Melville victories last week. He has three goals and 13 assists in 22 games played. Goaltender of the Week Adam Bartko, La Ronge Ice Wolves 1990 G Adam Bartko (Battleford SK) recorded a 28 save shutout in his only start last week, a 7-0 blowout win over the Humboldt Broncos. Bartko has emerged as one of the top puckstoppers in the SJHL having been given the opportunity to showcase his ability. Overall, Bartko has a 2.95-GAA and a .916-SPCT. He's been especially good since January 1st (2.21, .928). Runners-up: AJ Whiffen, Weyburn; Graham Hildebrand, Battlefords; Chris Ward, Melfort.
