This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 20 year-old Alex Cote of the Nipawin Hawks. Alex is a 6', 185 lb right winger from Waterloo, Quebec. During the past week Alex had a hat trick on Saturday, January 31 against the Melville Millionaires and collected one assist in each of the games against Flin Flon and Yorkton. He had five points in three games, six penalty minutes, two power-play goals, one first goal, and one game winning goal. This helped the Nipawin Hawks win all three of their games this past week putting them in 4th place in the Dodge Conference with 44 points. For the season Alex has 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points and 61 penalty minutes in 38 games. He has six power-play goals, seven power-play assists, one short handed goal, two short handed assists, four first goals, six first assists, two game winning goals, three game winning assists, one game tying goal, two insurance assists, three multiple goal games, and one hat trick.
