This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 19 year-old Anton Wintner of the Melfort Mustangs. Anton is a 6'4, 198 lb goaltender from Calgary, Alberta. During the past week Anton recorded two wins and one tie giving him a goals against average of 1.95 and a save percentage of 94%. He played 185 minutes and faced 100 shots allowing six goals. This helped a struggling Mustang team out of the standings basement and raised them to 5th place in the Dodge Conference, one point behind the La Ronge Ice Wolves. For the season Anton Wintner has played 571 minutes in 11 games facing 342 shots and allowing 31 goals and one empty net goal. He has three wins, two losses and four ties, a goals against average of 3.26 and a save percentage of 90.9%.
