Andrew Gordon of the Notre Dame Hounds' is the Sherwood-SJHL Player of the Month for February/March and the final Player of the Month for the 2003-04 regular season. The 18 year-old right winger, a second year Hound, is 5'11, 180 lbs and from Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. Andrew played 17 regular season games in the months of February and March and accumulated eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points which led the league during that period, two points ahead of teammate Rylan Kaip who had 11 goals and 13 assists. Andrew also had two penalty minutes, five power-play goals, one first goal and one multiple goal game. This helped the Notre Dame Hounds to a record of nine wins, six losses and one tie putting them third spot in the Sherwood Conference with 59 points and a playoff spot in which they will go up against the Weyburn Red Wings. For the season Andrew Gordon played in 55 games and accumulated 20 goals and 44 assists for 64 points and 12 penalty minutes. He had nine power-play goals, 15 power-play assists, two short handed goals, four first goals, two game winning goals, three insurance goals and two multiple goal games. The final MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week for the 2003-2004 regular season is awarded to 19 year-old Troy Schwab of the Kindersley Klippers. Troy is a 5'8, 190 lb. centreman from Kindersley, Saskatchewan. During the past week Troy played in two games and accumulated three goals and two assists all of which came in one game. He had five points and two penalty minutes, one game winning goal, one multiple goal game and one hat trick. This helped the Klippers win one and tie one this past week finishing off their regular season in 3rd place in the Dodge Conference with 78 points. For the season Troy has accumulated 29 goals and 36 assists for 65 points and 82 penalty minutes in 55 games. He had nine power-play goals, 11 power-play assists, two first goals, four game winning goals, one game tying goal, two insurance goals, nine multiple goal games and two hat tricks.
