This week's MEE SPORTS - SJHL Player of the Week is awarded to 20 year-old Josh Cudmore of the Yorkton Terriers. Josh is a 5'8, 160 lb forward from Yorkton, Saskatchewan. During the past week Josh accumulated five assists in three games contributing points in each game. This helped the Terriers win two of their three games this past week putting them in 3rd place in the Sherwood Conference with 41 points. This is Josh's second full season with the Terriers, after he came to them through the Yorkton Mallers Midget 'AAA' program. For the season Josh has accumulated 11 goals and 32 assists for 43 points and 69 penalty minutes in 37 games. He has five power-play goals and one game winning goal. Honorable Mention Honorable mention goes to several of Josh Cudmore's teammates with the Yorkton Terriers who all contributed five points this past week. Justin Keller, a 5'9, 165 lb left winger, had four goals and one assist. Dean Katzberg, a 6'1, 215 lb defenceman, had three goals and two assists. Evan Debert, a 6',175 lb defenceman, had one goal and four assists, and Barry Sparvier who is a 6'2, 200 lb right winger had one goal and four assists. The Yorkton Terriers' 19 year old goaltender Kevin Dziaduck is the Sherwood-SJHL Player of the Month for December. Kevin is 5'11, 168 lbs and from Buchanan, Saskatchewan. He played eight games and 487 minutes in the month of December and had five wins, one loss and two ties. He faced 267 shots allowing 22 goals and making 245 saves giving him a goals against average of 2.71 and a save percentage of 91.8%. Kevin, who played all of the Terriers' games in December except for two helped Yorkton have a record of 5-3-2 for the month. Kevin came to Yorkton from the Tri City Americans of the Western Hockey League. For the season Kevin Dziaduck has played 1328 minutes and 11 seconds in 23 games facing 728 shots and allowing 64 goals which gives him a goals against average of 2.89 and a save percentage of 91.2%. He has a record of 13-7-3 and two shutouts.7/1/04
