The Flin Flon Aqua Jets hit the pool for the first time this year at a meet in The Pas.
Fourteen competitive members of the Flin Flon Aqua Jets and five pre-competitive members attended The Pas Road Runner’s Fall Invitation Swim Meet on Nov. 5.
This would be the very first meet for the five pre-competitive swimmers since joining the Aqua Jets in September, said team spokeswoman Joy Tetlock.
The pre-competitive swimmers, Tamika Dumas, Drayden Lowe, Mila Neubuhr, Owen Qiu, and Joslyn Tetlock, each competed in six events on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Each pre-competitive swimmer received a participatory medal for their hard work at the meet, said Tetlock.
Competitive and junior competitive swimmers made up a large team this year for the Aqua Jets. The nine competitive swimmers each competed in seven events at the meet.
Lexsey Hynes, Isabel Plamondon, Jonah Poochay, Brennen Sapergia-Green, and Savannah Thurstan comprise the junior competitive team and each competed in six events.
Connor Brown posted five personal best times in his races. Dax Lawrence and Cory Lane each notched four personal best times. Jordan Gorrell had three, Ryan Nawrocki two and Braeden Tetlock finished with one personal best time. Taylor Lawrence swam to three personal best times. Lily Cooper had two and Madison Campbell finished with four personal best times.
Overall the nine competitive swimmers brought home 10 first-place finishes, 25 second-place finishes and six third place finishes.
