As the season came to an end, Novice players in the Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association skated their way around the Whitney Forum for an afternoon of fun time. The fun skate was interrupted to hand out awards and trophies to a few of the many deserving players. The players took a knee and formed a semi-circle around coordinator Kris Lee Tuesday night as he spoke about each award and then called players to receive their award. With roughly 40 players in front of him, he made it clear every player was deserving of an award, but only a select few would take home the honours. Nine trophies were handed out Ð 15 to be exact Ð as a main trophy stays at the Whitney Forum, each player was given a smaller trophy to take home. A few of the categories couldn't be narrowed to down to just one player, so a few of the guys were recognized.
