Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Ending out another great season, the Flin Flon Oldtimers took first place in the Novice league. The Oldtimers accepted their trophy last week as part of the Novice year-end awards ceremony put on by the Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association. Following a fun skate, the Novice players took a knee not only to congratulate the Oldtimers, but also to accept and congratulate awards for six lucky players. After team pictures and awards, the players traded their jerseys and socks for a drink and a hot dog ticket at the Whitney Forum. Honoured were: Most Valuable Player Ð Blake Lahonen Most Sportsmanlike Ð Lauren Fox, Grady Bedford Most Inspirational Ð Brycen Francoeur Most Improved Ð Jonah Winton, Khwezi Thwala Best Goalie Ð Rylan Potkonjak Best Defenceman Ð Tristan Toffan, Cole Russell
