Player of the Month Winner: Scott Schroeder, Humboldt Broncos 1988 F Scott Schroeder (Drake SK) ripped through November by scoring eight goals and 11 assists in 11 games played. Schroeder, whoÕs ranked 8th in the league in points, had a five point game on November 16 against Notre Dame. He also had four points November 25 against Flin Flon. For the season, Schroeder has 15 goals and 24 assists in 26 games. Runners-up: Preston Shupe, Weyburn; Brett Leedahl, Kindersley; Kirk Pearce, Kindersley. Defenseman of the Month Winner: Brady Wacker, Humboldt Broncos 1988 D Brady Wacker (Jansen SK); who is not only one of the top SJHL blueliners, but also likely in an elite class nationally at the position; had a month in which he scored five goals and 12 assists in 11 games. He is first in assists for the season with 30 and he leads his team in scoring with 41 points in 27 games. Predictably, he eats up valuable chunks of ice time in all phases of the game. Runners-up: Mitchell Stretch, Notre Dame; Taylor Thiessen, Nipawin; Greg Coburn, Yorkton. Goaltender of the Month Winner: Travis Bosch, Melville Millionaires 1988 G Travis Bosch (Regina SK) had a mediocre 5-4 record during the month, but he might have won every single start had he received more offensive support. He gave up more than two goals only once, that coming in a 3-1 loss to the Yorkton Terriers on November 21. For the season, he leads the league in wins, goals against average, and save percentage. HeÕs 15-6-2, 2.14, .933 for the season after posting a 1.62-GAA and .946-SPCT in November. Runners-up: Todd Mathews, Notre Dame; Andrew Bodnarchuk, Humboldt; Devin Peters, Yorkton; Jordan Washburn, Melfort. Rookie of the Month Winner: Alex Lamontagne, Flin Flon Bombers 1989 F Alex Lamontagne (Rimouski PQ) is a rare 19-year-old rookie at the Junior ÔAÕ level. His transition has been seamless as he tallied nine goals and eight assists in 11 games played during the month of November to up his overall totals to 17 goals and 17 assists in 27 games. Lamontagne is tied for the league lead in goals scored by a rookie and ranks second in rookie points. Runners-up: Jaden Schwartz, Notre Dame; Devin Mitzner, Flin Flon; Mathieu Lecours, Flin Flon.
