The Flin Flon Bombers couldn't get Dustyn Clegg during the off-season, but they got their man during the middle of it. The Bombers got Clegg from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL for future considerations. In 13 games, he had just one assist, but scored in his Bomber debut with a beauty at the side of the net Tuesday night against the Nipawin Hawks. "I felt I played all right," Clegg said following the game. "I was a little bit rusty. I haven't skated that much in the last two weeks." Fans wouldn't think he was rusty after placing his own rebound top shelf on the other side of the net. The Bombers newest rookie played regularly and added a physical presence, though Bombers coach-GM Doug Stokes is seeking offence from Lundar, Man., native. "I said it all year, I thought we had some secondary scoring problems and I'm hoping that's going to help solve some of our scoring problems," Stokes said. "You can't rely on one line to score goals for you all the time. Now we have another threat on the backend in (Kyle) Lundale and we hope that (Nick) Colliton and Clegg are going to get some secondary scoring up front." Clegg asked the Bulldogs for a trade because he felt he wasn't playing as much as he should have. In joining the Bombers, Clegg is also reunited with Reid MacLeod. The two played together with the Interlake Lightning in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season.
