With the start of the 2004-2005 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League regular season here, the SJHL is proud and honored to welcome ITECH as a major corporate sponsor for the upcoming year. To further amplify that fact, the SJHL is renaming the northern division (formerly referred to as the Dodge Conference) the ITECH Conference, effective immediately. The ITECH Conference is made up of the Battlefords North Stars, Flin Flon Bombers, Kindersley Klippers, La Ronge Ice Wolves, Melfort Mustangs, and Nipawin Hawks. "We are excited to have two of the biggest hockey manufacturers in the world as part of the SJHL," stated league president Laury Ryan. "Mission-ITECH Hockey are already the exclusive helmet and facial protective equipment supplier for the SJHL. Providing them naming rights to our northern conference is a natural extension of an existing agreement." ITECH fits well with the southern conference, known as the Sherwood Conference, named after Sherwood Hockey. Sherwood Hockey is the SJHL official supplier of sticks, pants, and gloves. "ITECH is excited to further its partnership with the SJHL. They have a proud history and impressive alumni that includes Brad Richards (2004 Stanley Cup Conn Smythe Trophy winner), Curtis Joseph (gold medal member of Canadian Olympic Team 2002), and Chris Chelios (member of 1996 USA World Cup of Hockey champions) just to name a few. We look forward to continuing to develop an already strong relationship with the SJHL," commented Mission-ITECH Hockey VP of Marketing Randy Burns. Meanwhile, ITECH is also supplying wet/dry undergarments to weekly SJHL award winners. They also are the title sponsor for the SJHL Goaltender of the Month award.
