Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Melfort Mustangs and Estevan Bruins are moving on in the 2012-13 playoffs. The Mustangs swept the Battlefords North Stars 3-0 in their best-of-five series to win the fourth place spot in the Bauer Conference. In the Sherwood Conference, the Bruins took on and defeated the Kindersley Klippers 3-1 in their series. The Mustangs will look to the Humboldt Broncos in their next round of playoffs. This will be the Broncos first game since ending the regular season on February 24. The Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks, who have both been sitting since the end of the regular season, will compete as they ranked third and second in the standings. The Bruins, fresh out of their games, will take on the Yorkton Terries _ who haven't played a game since their season-ender on February 24. The Melville Millionaires and Notre Dame Hounds will compete as ranked second and third in the Sherwood Conference. The Bombers are in Nipawin tonight and tomorrow, before bringing the Hawks home to the Whitney Forum Monday and Tuesday.
