The five-time champion OCN Blizzard had one win and one overtime loss in two games during the week ending January 25 to maintain its 11-point lead in the Sherwood Division. Jared Lang had three assists January 24 in OCN's 4-2 win over Portage on home ice in The Pas. Goalie Andrew Loewen had 29 saves January 21 in Neepawa's 5-1 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders in Swan River. Veteran goalie Greg Goodwin made 24 stops in Neepawa's tie against Winkler. James Marquis had two goals and one assist January 20 in Selkirk's 5-3 win over the Winnipeg Saints on home ice. Goalie Matt Neufeld made 56 stops January 23 in Winkler's 1-1 tie in Neepawa. Justin Wise, Josh Froese and Chad Wrixon combined for 15 points January 25 in Winkler's 14-0 win over the Southeast Blades on home ice. Wise accumulated two goals and four assists. Froese contributed three goals and two assists. Wrixon scored four times. Neufeld had 19 saves to tie for the league lead with his third shutout. Brent Blachford totalled two goals and two assists January 20 in Portage's 6-4 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in Waywayseecappo. Jordan Pietrus, Les Forgala and Mark Magnowski combined for 15 points January 21 in the Saints' 10-1 win over Southeast on home ice. Pietrus accumulated one goal and five assists. Forgala chipped in with two goals and three assists. Magnowski scored three times and added one assist. Ryan Garbutt had three goals and one assist January 24 in the Winnipeg South Blues' 7-1 win on Southeast's home ice. Goalie Cole Leitch made 32 stops January 25 in the Blues' 3-0 win over Selkirk on home ice. Shaun McIvor had three goals and one assist January 25 in Swan Valley's 6-3 win in Waywayseecappo. OCN veteran Aaron Starr continues to lead league and CJAHL scorers. Starr, 20, has a legaue-leading 49 goals and 94 points in 47 games.
