Lubbock Cotton Kings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Chris Dashney has announced the signing of left wing Tim Plett. Plett, 20, played the last two years in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with the Portage Terriers. He posted 42 goals and 84 points in 96 games as a Terrier. Before Portage, the 5-11, 205-pound forward from Steinbach, Manitoba, played 83 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League. "Tim (Plett) represented the Terriers in the MJHL All-Star game and won their 'Leadership and Ability' award in 2002-03 and 2003-04," said Dashney. "He is an aggressive player that will be able to create room with his speed." The Cotton Kings have already added an SJHLer in Yorkton Terrier Jason Beatty to their line-up for the upcoming season.
