Flin Flon Minor Ball will be holding a general meeting tonight, 7 p.m. in room 117 at RJ's Motel. The minor ball season is fast approaching, and with Flin Flon hosting Squirt and Pee Wee Provincials for the second year in a row, there are a lot of important decisions to be made. "Because of the success of the Westerns in 1999 and the Provincials last year, Flin Flon is once again considered a great place for ball," said Katie Kawerski, Minor Ball President. "It is because of our commitment to the game. Last year was the first year in six years that ball hasn't seen a decline in Flin Flon. We're hoping that it at least levels off, if not increases." The Provincials will be held from July 8-10. Those who wish to play on a rep team must register with minor ball this year. This year, registrations will be held on March 24 from 6-8 p.m., March 29 from 6-8 p.m., March 31 from 6-8 p.m. and April 2 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. All registrations will be held at the Flin Flon Community Hall. "We have some real dedicated coaches," said Kawerski. "Their main interest is making sure the kids learn how to play the game, and have fun. The kids always have fun when they come to play."
