The two biggest names on the trade market were both moved, perhaps ending the major suspense that accompanies the January 10th deadline. The Estevan Bruins traded 1985 born forward Dominic Cote and 1989 born forward Michael Jordan of Raymore, SK to the Melville Millionaires for 1987 born forward Kyle Ermel, 1988 born forward Mike Arnold, 1988 born forward Braden Arnason and future considerations. Cote was Estevan's leading scorer and eighth overall in the SJHL with 14 goals and 33 assists in 42 games. A native of Lampman, Cote immediately becomes Melville's leading scorer. Ermel had one goal in six games for the Mils and Weyburn Red Wings this season. He's currently with the Regina Pats. Arnold scored two goals in one game for the Yorkton Harvest over the weekend, but has also dressed for 23 games with Melville. He had three goals and two assists. Arnold may join the Bruins immediately. Arnason is a regular with the AAA Midget Harvest and suited up for one game with Melville, collecting one assist. The Kindersley Klippers have dealt 1985 born defenseman Brady Larock to the Nipawin Hawks for 1987 born defenseman Milo Miller and a player to be named later. Larock was the most highly sought SJHL defenseman available. He had 17 goals and 21 assists in 42 games to lead the Klippers in scoring. He is also the top point getter amongst SJHL defensemen. Miller had two goals and nine assists in 36 games with the Hawks. He still has two years of junior eligibility remaining. The Humboldt Broncos have picked up 1986 born forward Tyler Feakes from the AJHL's Lloydminster Bobcats for future considerations. Feakes had four goals and six assists in 40 games. The 6-1, 185 pound native of Spruce Grove, AB also had 106 penalty minutes. The La Ronge Ice Wolves traded 1986 born enforcer Luke Levesque to the MJHL's OCN Blizzard for a player to be named later and future considerations. Levesque played three games for the Ice Wolves earlier this season and had 10 penalty minutes. He left the team for the QMJHL, only to rejoin the Ice Wolves just prior to the Christmas Break, but didn't play.
