The Melville Millionaires have re-signed Head Coach/General Manager Jamie Fiesel to a one-year contract, plus an option. The Millionaires missed the SJHL playoffs, however Fiesel's team earned high marks for staying in the race until the final weekend of the regular season despite moving its top two offensive players in January 10th trades which were designed to help the club in future seasons. The Mils management committee gave a unanimous decision, which was also unanimously endorsed by the Executive last week to re-sign Fiesel.Ê Melville could return their entire team, minus the three graduates from 2004-05, next season. Melville Millionaire President Micheal Halyk says he wasn't surprised by the strong showing of support for Fiesel from the Executive. "The management and coaching staff sat down quite some time ago and put a long term plan into place so that we could build and maintain a winning team.ÊJamie led the coaching staff in presenting a thorough long term plan and we agreed to it.ÊWe also agreed to help make it work."ÊHalyk also says, "Jamie and our coaching staff can have the keys to the Vault for as long as they want.ÊAll they have to do is produce a winning product on the ice and off the ice.
