Five swimmers from the Flin Flon Aqua Jets competitive swim club attended the Brandon Bluefins swim club Autumn Invitational Meet Oct. 24 and 25.
This was the first meet of the 2014-15 season for the swimmers, who started training at the beginning of September.
Three of the seven
swimmers qualified for medal standings at the meet. Dax Lawrence won one bronze and Taylor Lawrence won two bronze and one silver. Todd Nawrocki walked away with four silvers in 50m and 100m back crawl and the 50m and 100m butterfly.
Other highlights from the weekend included personal bests for Ryan Nawrocki in all nine of his swims; Connor Brown received personal bests in all seven swims for which he had previous times recorded; and Dax Lawrence posted personal best times in seven out of his nine swims. Todd Nawrocki and Taylor Lawrence each achieved one personal best time along with their medal standings.
The team, including all competitive and precom-petitive swimmers, will be heading to The Pas Nov. 14 for The Pas Road Runner Fall Invitational Meet.
