The 2004 Mechanical and Construction Rec Club Bonspiel was held last weekend at the Willow Park Curling Club. A total of 15 teams competed in two events during the two-day bonspiel. When the last stone had been thrown, the team of Doug Murray, Kirk Huntley, Tom Fehr and Dale Buick emerged from the field to take the Main Event over Greg Agerbak, Eian McDonald, Gary Kryschuk and Ray McConnell. Third in the Main Event was Hugh Devlin, Tom Kozar, Wayne Todoschuk and Geoff Stuckless, while Jamie Switzer, Rod Asmundson, Pat Woods and Ernie Willets placed fourth. In the Consolation Event, Tar McCombie, George Danko, Kevin Elliot and Ed Andrusiak took top spot. Bob Cassan, Ted Hryhoruk, Brian Huntley and Mike Kish were second. The team of Jim Glynn, Tony Flynn, Jack Scott and Dave Broughton were third, and Al Brown, John Bartlett, Andy Wasylciw and Murray Grimes were fourth.
