Goaltender Klynt Spencer is going to have to prove himself if he wants to be a part of the Flin Flon Bombers organization. Recently returning from the team's annual spring camp in Saskatoon, coach and GM Mike Reagan said there were three goaltenders who really caught the club's eye. "We're just in the process of making sure those three come back to main camp and fight for a spot," he said. Reagan said the three goaltenders hoping to make it to the Maroon and White are "really going to push Klynt." "I think Klynt has still got to prove himself," he said. This past season, Spencer took the back-up position with the Bombers as Matt Weninger earned top spot in the net. This year, Reagan says things are going to get "competitive." As of today, Reagan says it's too soon to tell if any of those goalies will don the Maroon and White. "They have the potential to, for sure," he said. "What's difficult is that in spring camp you get a feel for them, but it's difficult because you've got 16- and 17-year-olds (and) not 19- and 20-year-olds. That makes a big difference. "They can look really good in spring camp, but come main camp, when they have bigger, stronger, faster guys shooting on them that execute a little better Ð that's when you find out what type of goaltender they are," said Reagan. Today, the Bombers have not signed any new goaltenders to the organization.
