Six boyÕs teams and seven girlÕs teams were in it to win it for this yearÕs Junior High Volleyball League. For the boys, McIsaac 2 and Cranberry Portage tried to spike each other out of the running for gold medal in the final game on Wednesday. In front of roughly 50 spectators in the Bobby Clarke Gym in McIsaac, the home boyÕs won a quick first set against the Eagles. With a score of 25-15, the Mad Dogs went into the second game confident. And their confidence, along with their skills, helped to bring home the gold. With a close game, 25-23, on their hands, the home boys were able to get past the Eagles. As teams, the Eagles and Mad Dogs lined up on either side of the mesh to congratulate each other. The Eagles were called upon for their excellent team work and attitude before the Mad Dogs were presented with their first place plaque.
