The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce Flin Flon Bombers forward Reid MacLeod (Teulon MB) has accepted a scholarship to Sacred Heart (NCAA Division I). MacLeod, the SJHL Rookie of the Year in 2006-07 and the Leo Parker Award Winner in 2007-08 for leading the SJHL in scoring, is headed to the same school his current head coach, Mike Reagan, played at for four years (2001-2004) earlier in the decade. MacLeod won the SJHL Rookie Of The Year when he compiled 24 goals and 37 assists in 58 games. He won last yearÕs scoring title with 47 goals and 42 assists in 57 games. That included a dynamic nine point week in the final three games of the season; capped with a five point season finale despite playing with a badly injured shoulder. The 6Õ1Ó, 180 lbs forward rehabbed his injury through the summer and early part of the season, making his return in October. He has caught fire as of late with four goals and seven assists in his last seven games. Overall, he has 11 goals and 21 assists in 30 games. For his career, MacLeod has played 145 games and has 82 goals, 100 assists, for 182 points. The Sacred Heart Pioneers play in the Atlantic Hockey Conference and currently feature Senior forward Bear Trapp (Melville/Estevan) and Junior forward Erik Boisvert (Notre Dame) on the roster.
