The following is a look at the Flin Flon Bombers heading into the regular season, compiled from an SJHL article by Mike Stackhouse. The Bombers have said goodbye to defensemen Josh Roach, Brandt Weldon and Dallen Hall; forwards Riley Storzuk, Dylan Balaski, Brett Penner, Jason Wark Konrad Litke, Andy Blanke, and Spencer Mault; and goaltender Brandon Wildung. The 2013-14 season sees goaltender Devin Buffalo returning as well as defencemen Tanner Clark, Danys Chartrand, Brock Hounsell, Garrett Zelinski, and Rob Gawron. Forwards Brett Boehm, Dillan McCombie, Cameron Blair, Brody Robinson, Landon Hiebert, Cole McCaig, Greg Wiwcharuk and Tyson Empey will also be returning. This season will see plenty of fresh faces, including, possibly, goaltender Simon Hofley. Coming from Ottawa Midget AAA, Hofley joins the team with a 1.47 GAA as well as the Telus Cup Top Goaltender honours. The last Bomber goalie with those honours was Carson Chubak, who is now in the AHL. Defenseman Keifer Schaufler came to the team's main camp with 4 goals, 3 assists and 7 points in 29 games with the UFA Bisons of the AMHL. He is described as a strong, physical player who has the potential to be a stabilizing force on the back end. Blueliner Cole Nicholas is coming off a season in Lloydminster that saw him manage eight goals, 12 assists and 20 points in 33 games. Nicholas has potential to be a top four blueliner. Defenseman Robbie Cameron (5G, 12A, 17P in 44 games with the Saskatoon Blazers, SMAAAHL) is considered one of the players to watch for the upcoming season, according to head coach and GM Mike Reagan. Forward Parker Evans-Campbell (8G, 17A, 25P in 55 games with Fort McMurray, AJHL) is known as a reliable player who the Bombers tried to recruit a year ago. He came to the club in a trade for Dallen Hall. Forward Ram Brar comes to the Bombers from the PIJHL in B.C. with a stats of 12 goals, 7 assists and 19 points in 23 games. He played in Notre Dame and has top six forward potential. Forward Paul Soubry is another player to watch. He joins the team with stats of 15 goals, 13 assists and 28 points in 41 games with the Winnipeg Wild of the MMAAAHL. Forward Brent Aiken comes out of Kenora, Ont with a love to finish checks. He came to the Bombers with 14 goals, 16 assists and 30 points in 41 games in the MMAAAHL. Forward Justin Rasmussen comes to the Bombers with promise as a member of the Summerside RBC team last year. He finished the season with 12 goals, 24 assists and 36 points in 35 games.
