The Flin Flon Darts Open proved to be a successful weekend for a few players as nearly $4,000 was given out in prize money. With players coming in from Rosetown, Hudson Bay, Nipawin, Thompson, Brandon and Saskatoon, the local players were up for a challenge. With nearly 50 players here for the weekend-long tournament at the Royal Canadian Legion, a few Flin Flonners found their names in first and second place. "It was a very good turnout," said Perry Burton, organizer. As well as the local and out of town players, a number of ranked players in Saskatchewan also joined the weekend-long event. As well as the Flin Flon Open, a few local players participated in a tournament two weeks ago Ð leaving Darryl Nash and Brian Humphrey to represent team Saskatchewan in June in Quebec.
