Ethan Kendrick received the Army Cadet League of Canada President's award for the top army cadet in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario for the year 2008. The presentation could not be made earlier as Kendrick was away attending university in Regina. Kendrick was with the local corps until aging out at 19 years of age and won other prestigious awards including the Strathcona Medal, The Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence, the Hubbell Award (bursary) and the Lieutenant Colonel Frank S. Gira award (bursary) through graduation at Hapnot Collegiate. Kendrick attained the highest rank achievable by an army cadet Ð Chief Warrant Officer.
