The annual Legion Mixed Bonspiel was held at the Uptown Curling Club the weekend of March 6 and 7. There were 14 teams signed up to play. The curling started at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with the semifinals going on Sunday at 10 a.m. In the Main Event the D. Moore rink was defeated by the D. Connolly team, and in the other semifinal in the Main Event, T. Sochan's team defeated the B. Wall team. In the Consolation Event the A. Graham team defeated the S. Adams team in one semifinal and the I. Johnston team defeated the L. Lundgren team in other semi final. The final games were played at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. In the Main Event it was D. Connolly playing off against T. Sochan. The winner was Dale Connolly with Lynne Fischer, Bill Blackmore and Louise Carriere. In the Consolation it was A. Graham playing off against I. Johnston. The winner was the Irene Johnston team of John Laidlaw, Bev Wilson and Mike Wilson.
