Sunday, September 7 turned out to be a very sunny, warm day for the closing tournament. There were 19 ladies taking part. Winner of the championship flight was J. Maitland with a gross score of 86. Runner-up was J. Pelletier with 91 Gross. In the 0-28 handicap category first was C. Quinn with 73, second G. Martinot 73, third S. Anderson 80. 29-36 handicap first was M. Howat with 71, second A. Wiebe 73, third L. Bryson 76. 37-40 handicap first S. Sproxton 73, second S. Russell 77, third K. Larson 79. All the handicap scores are net. Ladies Night September 9 was warm but very windy, sometimes hard to control that little white ball. There were 41 ladies. First flight: first H. Gutwillinger, B. Lantz, K. Thomson, S. Beck and R. Limoges with 36; second S. Murray, J. Freeborn, J. Spiller and C. Crone with 38. Second flight: first L. Abele, L. Rice, and R. Elliot with 41; second - the Janvier foursome with 42. Third flight: first Y. Davis, K. Hanson, and I. Johnston with 47 on a countback; second - J. Clark, S. Lofgren and M. Aden also with 47 on a countback. I must mention this threesome only had eight putts in their round. Very good girls. Next Ladies Night is September 16. Thursday, September 11 was a beautiful golf morning. There were ten ladies out to play 1-2-3 in mingle. Firs were D. Chilson, C. Quinn. G. Lethbridge and M. Aden with 99. Least putts was C. Quinn with 13, G. Lethbridge with 14, and A. McEachern with 15 won the prize. Next Mingle will be September 18 at the club house at 8:30 a.m. Congratulations to Lori Salahub, who is once again our club champion. Our supper meeting will be held September 23 with cocktails at 6:00 p.m., meeting at 6:45 p.m. and supper at 7:30. Put your name at the club house.
