The Ladies Opening Day Tournament was able to be held on Sunday, June 19 after being rained out on the 5th. There were few bugs, a little rain, lots of cloud and oodles of wind and a bit of sunshine once in a while. There were 25 ladies competing for some real nifty prizes courtesy of Curtis and staff at the pro shop. Closest to the line on #2 was D. Wellman, and D. Chilson was closest to the pin on #6. Championship Flight 1st - J. Maitland on a count back with 93, 2nd - S. Murray also 93, 3rd - A. McVey with 97. First Flight 1st - P. Bilquist 108, 2nd - D. Myden 109 on count back, 3rd - G. Myden then handed out a variety of prizes from the 2004 season, pin days, the Birdie tree, most improved handicap and the ringer board. To participate in these prizes you must enter your name and scores in the appropriate places on the bulletin board. Thanks to Sherri and her staff for a delicious supper of lasagna, salad and garlic toast, and to Curtis and the weather for making the Opening Day Tournament happen.
