The Hapnot Kopper Kweens went undefeated to win the pre-zone competition on Thanksgiving weekend in Flin Flon. The zone 11 teams that participated were Cross Lake, Thompson, The Pas and host Flin Flon Ð with teams from Creighton Community School playing as well. The pre-zone competition is a chance for the teams in the area to see and play each other. The zone competition will be in in Thompson on the weekend of November 13-14. The Kweens will be travelling down to Brandon at the end of this month to play in one of Manitoba's top triple A tournaments. This is a great opportunity to play teams that will be strong enough to play at the provincial level. There will be 30 girls teams and 20 boys. It is a very large and exciting tournament. It is great to be able to play teams with high level skills which unfortunately seem to be lacking up in the North.
