Submitted by Canadian Curling Association Kevin Koe lived the ultimate curling dream in 2010, winning two of the sport's most prestigious events Ð the Tim Hortons Brier and Capital One World Men's Curling Championship. The 2011 campaign didn't produce quite the same success, but a fifth-place finish in the Canadian Team Ranking System qualifies the team to compete in the upcoming Canada Cup of Curling. Koe is a former Canada Cup champion, claiming the title in 2008. When he steps on the ice Nov. 30th at the Cranbrook Rec Plex, the Alberta skip is focused on recapturing the magic of the 2010 season. Carter Rycroft and Nolan Thiessen are back on the front end with Pat Simmons replacing Blake MacDonald at third. After five Brier appearances in Sask-atchewan colours, Simmons brings a wealth of competitive experience to the teamÉbut he's still looking for the experience of hoisting the Canada Cup in the championship final.8/29/2011
