The Kindersley Klippers will join the Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL MemberCARE Cup Final. The Klippers edged the Humboldt Broncos 4-3 on Tuesday night in front of 1,433 fans in Kindersley. Troy Schwab scored his first of two goals on the power play at 10:35 of the opening period. Humboldt's Curtis Yausie evened the score at 18:02, but Eric Schwabe restored the lead at 19:01. Schwab's shorthanded marker at 4:34 of the second period made it 3-1, and Chris O'Connor's power-play marker at 12:07. put the Broncos ahead by three goals. Humboldt's Paul McBrien scored a power-play goal at 12:07 to cut the lead to two goals after 40 minutes of play. In the third period, Jeremy McKibbon's first goal of the playoffs at 4:35 wasn't enough for the defending Royal Bank Cup champs, who were out shot 44-33, including 17-7 in the first period. The final will pit Kindersley goaltender Nathan Deobald against the team that traded him in the off season, the Weyburn Red Wings, who will host the Royal Bank Cup in 2005. The series will begin on April 4 in Kindersley.1/4/04
