Compiled by Kelly Carrington The Flin Flon Kinsmen Bantam AA Bombers took Bronze in a provincial tournament held earlier this month in The Pas. Taking Swan River by storm in the round-robin play, the Bombers came out on top 8-0, but later lost to the Southeast Blizzard with the opposite score, 0-8. The loss against the Blizzard put the Bombers in the quarterfinals against Portage La Prairie. The Bombers were really on top as they won 6-4 in one of their best games of the year. The semifinal action had them against the strong Morden team. The Bombers went down fighting hard with a 6-1 loss. In the Bronze medal game, the Bombers faced the ever-tough Thompson King Miners. The Bombers and Miners had faced off in two other tournaments this season, with two wins on Flin Flon's side. The Bombers made it a third win as they defeated Thompson for the Bronze. The win put Flin Flon third in Manitoba and helped them end a successful season. Previous to the provincials, the Bombers had won a tournament in Melville in November and took first place in a Swan River tournament in December. They also won a third place finish in their home tournament in January. The Flin Flon Kinsmen Bantam AA Bombers is made up of the following coaches and players: Ian Ferguson (captain), Mason Antoniuk (asst. captain), Aaron Beachamp (asst. captain), Riley Reynolds (asst. captain), Brett Muench, Riley Mcdonald, Tanner Suski, Dylan Mansell, Evan Linnick, Devin Quinn, Willie Eikel, Riley Nowlin, Mike Durussel, Matt Sewap, Meaghan Yaworski, Tyler Kittle and Jessica Campbell.
