Members of the Dauphin Kings were congratulated for raising more than $2,000 in pledges in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. The event was a group hair cut. During the playoff run, King players focused on their hockey commitments and let all personal grooming (haircuts/beards) take a back seat to the number priority. Fortunately for the Kings' friends, families and girlfriends, they've returned to trimmed hair, and shaving. In all, 12 members of the Kings shaved their heads last week at a special BBQ, and accepted pledges throughout the lunch hour. "The organization is very proud of Patrick Kozyra for spearheading this event," said Kings' Assistant Coach/Director of Marketing David Anning. "Obviously there was a tremendous amount of community support for this cause, as we managed to raise over $1,500 during a lunch hour.
