It was another perfect weekend for the Hapnot Kopper Kings and Kweens as they hosted Soccer Zones. The Kweens went 3-0 during the round-robin play and defeated Thompson 2-1 in the final for their first place banner. The Kweens won on a penalty kick. This year's competition marked the seventh consecutive year for the Kweens' wins in Zones. The Kings were in the same boat as they were undefeated in the round-robin and went on to defeat Thompson in the finals. The Kings had an impressive weekend as they outshot their competitors 16-0 throughout the weekend. The soccer season is coming it an end as the Kings and Kweens have one tournament remaining. Provincials will be held in McGregor over the weekend of Oct. 18. The records are impressive for this season as the Kweens have won their last three games _ and six of their last seven games. The Kweens sit with a 9-1 record while the Kings remain undefeated with a 10-0 record.
