Back to back wins by Kindersley have forced a seventh and deciding game in the Anavet Cup series between the Klippers and the Selkirk Steelers. On Thursday night, Jesse Fischer scored 51 seconds into overtime to give the Klippers a second chance in the series. Casey Lee assisted on the overtime goal. Lee scored a power-play marker in the third period for the Klippers, assisted by Brady Larock and Eric Schwabe at 1:35, and Chad Seidel opened the scoring at 1:07 of the second period from Troy Schwab and Mark Kelts. Kindersley scored one power-play goal on six chances, while Selkirk was held scoreless on six tries. The story of the game, however, was Kindersley's choice in netminder, going with call-up Kevin Dziaduck from the Yorkton Terriers, who made 28 saves for the win. Selkirk's Justin Harris made 32 stops in the losing cause. The series moved to Kindersley for games six on Saturday night, where the teams played nearly 55 minutes without a goal. Chad Seidel scored the game's only goal at 14:29 of the third period, assisted by Josh Sim. Kevin Dziaduck made his second straight start, stopping 35 shots for the win. Justin Harris was good on 27 of 28 shots, but got no held from the Selkirk offence. Both teams were held off the scoreboard on special teams, as the Steelers were held scoreless on five advantages while the Klippers failed to score on seven chances.
