JV volleyball sees 16 teams compete

The Flin Flon Creighton Junior High Volleyball Tournament was held this past Saturday with six boys teams playing at Hapnot Collegiate and 10 girls teams playing at McIsaac School Ecole McIsaac. Between the 16 teams, more than 190 athletes participated in the tournament. The annual event focuses on fair play and sportsmanship as well as equal playing time and competition. It included teams from Cranberry Portage, The Pas, Snow Lake, Creighton, and Flin Flon; which included Ruth Betts School and McIsaac. In the boys division, Cranberry Portage team took first with The Pas coming in second. Third place went to McIsaac and fourth went to The Pas. For the girls division, McIsaac took first place while The Pas earned second. Snow Lake took home third place while fourth stayed in McIsaac.
