The Estevan Bruins have taken a 2-1 lead over the Yorkton Terriers with a 5-2 win on Tuesday night. Five different Bruins were able to beat goaltender Kevin Dziaduck. Chris Hammett, Andrew Howden, Dominic Cote, Patrick McGillicky and Cameron Jarvis scored for the Bruins, while Justin Menke and Lance Herauf had the goals for the Terriers, who were out shot 46-22. The Bruins scored once on six power play chances, while the Terriers were held scoreless on their six advantages. In the other semifinal, the Battlefords North Stars lead the La Ronge Ice Wolves 2-1. Game four for both series was Wednesday night. Results were unavailable at press time. In the MJHL, Selkirk advanced to meet the Portage Terriers in the League Final by beating Winnipeg South 7-5 in game seven. Game one of the championship final will be on Friday in Portage.
