A junior high volleyball tournament was held in Flin Flon and Creighton on Saturday, with teams from Cranberry Portage and The Pas/OCN also taking part. After the round robin, here is how the girls standings looked: Pool A Cranberry Portage, 6-2 McIsaac C, 5-3 Scott Bateman A, 5-3 Creighton A, 5-3 Joe A. Ross, 3-5 Opasquia B, 0-8 Pool B McIsaac A, 7-1 Parkdale, 6-2 Opasquia A, 6-2 McIsaac B, 4-4 Ruth Betts, 4-4 Creighton B, 1-7 Scott Bateman B, 1-7 In the second place tiebreaker games, Scott Bateman A defeated McIsaac C 15-9, and Opasquia A defeated Parkdale 15-11. In the championship game it was McIsaac A over Cranberry Portage 25-23, 11-25 and 15-6. Opasquia A defeated Scott Bateman A 15-25, 25-20 and 15-8 in the third place game. Here are the boys round robin standings: Pool A Scott Bateman, 5-1 Joe A. Ross, 4-2 Ruth Betts, 3-3 Creighton, 0-6 Pool B Opasquia, 5-1 McIsaac, 4-2 Cranberry Portage, 3-3 Parkdale 0-6 Joe A. Ross beat Scott Bateman in the championship game to win the tournament. In the third place game it was Opasquia over McIsaac. Ruth Betts defeated Cranberry Portage in the fifth place game, and Creighton got by Parkdale in the seventh place game.
