The second Junior Curling Bonspiel of the season was held on Sunday and Monday at the Uptown Curling Rink, with five teams participating. There were four draws on Sunday, including the A-side final. The B-side and C-side finals were played on Monday. When the final rock had been thrown, the foursome led by Casandra Barron was the A-side winner. Casandra's team included lead Shandi Madden, second Brennen Borschewski and third Kyra Kosar. Runners up were the team of lead Justin Labine, second Taylor Davis, third Meagan Able and skip Amber McKenzie. Kevin Baschuk's team of lead Shawn Wilkinson, second Carrie Storey and third Jillian Storey was the winner of the B-side. On the C-side, the team of lead Melissa Wasylciw, third Jenna Klause and skip Katherine Lane-Broughton defeated the team of lead Tanner Labine, third Tylor Kennedy and skip Brayden Kosar. Junior curlers meet every Monday since October, under the instruction of Debbie McNeill and Stacey Helm. The junior curling season winds up with a skills day on Monday.
