The Atom AA's had a very successful weekend. They played Swan River Friday morning winning 4-1. That evening they played Dauphin and won 4-2. The next morning against The Pas, the Bombers earned a 2-2 tie. The feature game had Flin Flon take on Thompson and the kids came out to play winning 4-0. This win and the Thompson loss put Flin Flon first overall. Thompson placed second for an exciting A final. That game went into overtime with a late goal by Thompson to make it 3-3. Brendan Barron scored the winner with less than four minutes. The kids have really worked hard this year and the results are showing. To be in four A finals and win two is nice, but the most impressive thing is of four tournaments, they sported a 1.83 goals against average. Next year provincials are in Dauphin, March 8-10. Players earning game stars throughout the tournament were Brendan Barron, Tavish Quinn, Keagan Quinn, and Edward Garner.2/20/2006
