The Flin Flon Bombers have sent 20 year-old John Iron to the Lloydminster Blazers of the AJHL, completing the deal made January 10, 2004 for Jimo King. "In January we acquired Jimo King on loan for the remainder of the 2003/04 season," said head coach/GM Ryan Hoffman. "We were very happy to acquire Jimo. He is a gritty, hard worker and we are pleased to be able to keep him on our roster." The rights of Iron were transferred to the Blazers to complete the deal, in order for the Bombers to keep King for the upcoming season. "John was an important part of our team and a character player," said Hoffman. "This also gives John an opportunity to play a little closer to home. We with John the best in his future with the Blazers." In other Bomber news, 2003/04 captain Derek Blais has committed to playing for Mount Royal College next season. He will be playing against former teammate Anatoliy Moshkovsky, who has enrolled at SAIT, a rival of Mount Royal.
