Seven swimmers from the Flin Flon Aqua Jets competitive swim team attended the Brandon Bluefins Swim Club Autumn Invitational Meet October 25 and 26. The two-day meet was the first of the season for the Jets, as they began training back in September.

Three of the seven swimmers qualified for Manitoba/Saskatchewan Regionals and Provincials. Austin Dubreuil qualified in all nine of his swims.
Taylor Lawrence qualified in seven of her eight swims, and Todd Nawrocki qualified in three of his eight swims.
Other highlights from the weekend included personal bests for Ryan Nawrocki in seven of his nine swims, taking a total of 24.54 seconds off his 50-metre fly.
Dax Lawrence earned personal bests in all six swims for which he had previous times recorded, with a significant improvement of 35.11 seconds in his 200-metre freestyle.
Lauren Fox took 12.32 seconds off her 100-metre individual medley, receiving personal bests in six of her nine events.
Connor Brown also took 10.32 seconds off his 100-metre individual medley and earned personal bests in five of his eight events.
The team, including all competitive and precompetitive swimmers, will be heading down the road on November 15 and 16 for The Pas Road Runner Fall Invitational Meet.
