Hockey Manitoba is pleased to assist the Manitoba Moose with their 10th anniversary season by helping create the greatest showcase of minor hockey jerseys from around the province. In an effort to acknowledge the rich history of minor hockey in our province, the Moose and Hockey Manitoba are working in partnership to attract minor hockey jerseys from all regions of Manitoba. The jerseys will be prominently displayed in the beautiful MTS Centre concourse throughout the 2005-2006 season and beyond to promote the game and celebrate Manitoba's distinguished hockey heritage. The strength of the display will come from mass participation of all hockey associations and both the Moose and Hockey Manitoba are encouraging all minor hockey association to get involved. Peter Woods, Executive Director of Hockey Manitoba exclaimed, "Hockey Manitoba is pleased to assist the Moose in promoting hockey. I believe our associations share the same passion and love of the game and this is an excellent vehicle to bring attention to our sport." Kyle Balharry spokesman for the Manitoba Moose added, "The Moose are excited about this project as well as the opportunity to increase our commitment and involvement to minor hockey." The Manitoba Moose are the largest sponsor of minor hockey in Manitoba and annually contribute in excess of $40,000 annually to various hockey associations throughout the Branch.
