The Flin Flon Bombers have a busy schedule this month as they were welcomed back from the Christmas Break with two home games. First, the Notre Dame Hounds were in town Ð which was a disappointing 6-2 loss for the Bombers. Tonight, the Battlefords North Stars are in town. The Bombers currently sit 12 points ahead of the North Stars with 55 points in the Bauer Conference Ð compared to the Stars 43 points. Following tonight's game, the Bombers prepare for a two-game road series. The first game, Tuesday, will be played in Melville against the Millionaires before heading to Yorkton to take on the Terriers. Following Wednesday's game, the Bombers are back in the Whitney Forum to host the Millionaires before hitting the road for their Southern swing. Starting things off in Nipawin on Tuesday, January 19, the Bombers will challenge the Hawks before moving onto Estevan the next night. With a one-day break, the Bombers are then sent to Weyburn to face the, now, SJHL leading team. And to finish their four games in five days, the Bombers will be in Notre Dame to try and get their two points from the Hounds. Then it's home for the Bombers as they host three games at the end of the month Ð one against the Melfort Mustangs and two against the Yorkton Terriers. To date, the Red Wings claim first place in the SJHL with 56 points while the Bombers are a close second with 55 points. Claiming second in the Sherwood Conference are the Hounds with 50 points Ð six points behind the Red Wings.
