Graduating Yorkton Terrier goalie Kevin Dziaduck has signed a professional contract with the Laredo Bucks of the CHL. Dziaduck went 22-13-and-2 with a 2.51-GAA and .911-SPCT during the regular season and then backstopped the Terriers to the Credential Cup title with a 15-and-6 record and a 2.41-GAA and .924-SPCT.Ê Dziaduck also set an SJHL record for longest shutout streak in the playoffs when he blanked the Notre Dame Hounds in the Sherwood Conference semi-finals for 203:51, an equivalent of over ten full periods. A fully established big game goalie, Dziaduck was also an integral member of the Kindersley Klippers during their RBC Royal Bank Cup run in 2003-04.Ê Dziaduck, added by the Klippers for the Anavet Cup series, played games five, six, and seven against the Selkirk Steelers and led the Klippers back from a 3-games-to-1 deficit and into the national championship. The 5'11", 170 lbs native of Buchanan, SK was also heavily courted by the Regina Cougars of the CIS. He has Western Hockey League experience with a number of teams, including the Moose Jaw Warriors in 2004-05, when he began the year by playing four games. In other SJHL news, overage defenseman Bob Graham has agreed to play for the NAIT Ooks of the Alberta College Athletics Conference. Graham, a January 10th trade deadline acquisition by Yorkton, played 57-games and scored 3-goals and 8-assists with the Terriers and Flin Flon Bombers this past season.Ê The 6'2", 205 lbs native of St. Albert AB added five assists in 22-playoff games and was a driving defensive force for the Terriers on their march to the Credential Cup. The Nipawin Hawks have announced the trade of 20-year-old forward Jon Romic to the Dryden Ice Dogs of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) for future considerations. Romic split last season between the Estevan Bruins and Hawks, scoring 2-goals and 2-assists in 18-games between the two clubs. He also dressed for three of Nipawin's six playoff games and recorded one assist. The Estevan Bruins acquired 20-year-old goaltender Matt Gassman from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Winnipeg South Blues on Thursday. See 'Goaltender' P.# Con't from P.# The Littleton, Colorado native went 10-and-4 with a 3.42-GAA and .901-SPCT with the Blues last season. Estevan Head Coach Kelvin Mackay is hopeful Gassman can increase the competition for the number one goaltender spot with Stefan Koo on the club for the upcoming season. The Estevan Bruins have announced the acquisition of 20-year-old defenseman Tom Cossey from the BCHL's Langley Hornets. Cossey, who's a 6'0" 200 lbs product of Fort Saskatchewan AB, played 40-games in the BCHL last season and scored 1-goal and 11-assists. He split the year between Langley and Merritt. He had three assists in 22-games with the Hornets.
