World Cup of Hockey 2004 fever went up several degrees last week as CIBC announced its role as a Canadian tournament sponsor of this eagerly anticipated international sporting event. Joining CIBC representatives at the press conference in Edmonton was Canada's World Cup of Hockey 2004 team member, Jarome Iginla, who plays a key role in the promotion of CIBC's "4 for the Final" World Cup of Hockey 2004 contest. Attending the conference at CIBC's Jasper Avenue main branch, were: Stephen Graham, Executive Vice President, Personal and Small Business Banking and Chief Marketing Officer, CIBC Jarome Iginla, Captain of the Calgary Flames and Canada's World Cup of Hockey 2004 team member Ken Kim, Director of Marketing, National Hockey League Players' Association. "CIBC is proud to be a Canadian sponsor of the World Cup of Hockey 2004," said Stephen Graham. "Millions of eager Canadians will have an incredible opportunity to witness the finest Canadian players face off against the best players the world has to offer in what is surely one of the most thrilling international sporting events. We are equally delighted that Canadian World Cup team member, Jarome Iginla, has partnered with CIBC in the promotion of our "4 for the Final" World Cup of Hockey 2004 contest in which one lucky Canadian will receive four tickets for the final championship game taking place at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, September 14th." "4 For the Final"(x) contest specifics are as follows: Canadians can enter online to win a Grand Prize consisting of a trip to Toronto for four, plus four tickets for the World Cup of Hockey 2004 final game at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, September 14th. Also included in the Grand Prize package are accommodations, $500 spending money, four Behind the Scenes passes and four World Cup Hockey 2004 Prize Packs ?- totalling a retail value of approximately $20,000. The contest runs from August 6, 2004 to September 3, 2004. The Grand Prize winner's name will be drawn on September 3, 2004 and will be posted on www.cibc.com. Also on September 3rd, following the draw for the grand prize, CIBC will award forty-five World Cup of Hockey 2004 prize packs. The 45 World Cup of Hockey 2004 prize packs include an authentic Jarome Iginla autographed jersey, a World Cup commemorative puck, aWorld Cup of Hockey 2004 cap and other must-have sports merchandise. Canadians can access the online contest via www.cibc.com/hockey and are limited to one entry per person per day. The contest will be supported with in-branch advertising on posters on display in CIBC's 1,100 branches across the country, messages on ABMs and newspaper advertising, featuring Jarome Iginla.
