Three local governments near La Ronge have coughed up $150,000 to buy out the debt owed by the La Ronge Ice Wolves to team founder Rick Shultz. Councillors from La Ronge, Air Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band met before last weekend's SJHL AGM to discuss a deal to keep the Wolves in La Ronge. If a deal was not made, the Wolves could have been moved to Meadow Lake. The three parties will share the debt based on a per capita formula used for other agreements.4/6/04
