Submitted by Gail Baker Willowpark Curling Club was abuzz with laughter and great fellowship as 18 teams took to the sheets recently at the Seniors Annual Bonspiel. Nine men's and nine women's teams competed, and once the frost had cleared, the winners joined up in the lounge to claim their prizes on Jan. 30. Topping the list in the Main Event Ð sponsored by the Flin Flon Credit Union and presented by board member Rueban Hogan Ð was the Don Hume team, which defeated Russ Kennedy's foursome to take first place. In the Ladies Event, the Flin Flon Credit Union first-place trophy went to Irene Johnston, who won over Judy Black.
