The Hockey Gladiators pay per view hockey fighting tournament has added seven more individuals to a group that is expected to feature as many as thirty-two experienced pugilists when the event is staged next September long weekend. Former Boston Bruin tough guy Lyndon Byers has entered the mix as well as former San Jose enforcer Link Gaetz. Kent Carlson played 113 NHL games with three NHL clubs rounds out the list of most notable fighters that have allowed their name to stand in the infamous group. Other 'players' to get accepted into the mix are Dean Mayrand, Shawn Legault, Jason Bone (former Flin Flon Bomber), and Steve Bosse. Byers played 279 NHL games with the Bruins and San Jose Sharks, amassing 1081 PIM. He is 40 years-old. The 36 year-old Gaetz is currently playing minor pro in Quebec. He saw action in 65 NHL games and racked up 412 PIM. Carlson played with Montreal, St. Louis, and Washington through parts of a pro career that spanded between 1984 and 1989. Legal, Alberta's Legault plays with the New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL and is 26 years-old. He has 217 PIM in 39 games this season. Steve Bosse is a 22 year-old from the QSPHL along with fellow entrants Gaetz, Bone, and Mayrand. With the Verdun Dragons, he has 252 PIM in 35 games played.
