An exciting roster will make up the new All-star cast of players at the Oldtimers' Hockey Challenge coming to Flin Flon, Tuesday, December 2 at 7 p.m. at the Whitney Forum. Fans will see some amazing skills displayed by these former NHL players. Our lineup of former NHL players includes Mark Napier (Montreal Canadiens), Bob Bourne (New York Islanders), Jack Valiquette (Toronto Maple Leafs), Richard Brodeur (Vancouver Canucks), Ron Flockhart (Philadelphia Flyers and Jimmy Mann (Winnipeg Jets). They will have to be at their best because that swashbuckling personality they call "The Entertainer", Eddie Shack, will be in charge as referee and will provide the humour and frolic in this classic Oldtimers Hockey Challenge. The CFAR Media Celebrity Hockey Team is pleased to welcome the former NHL stars to Flin Flon. The Oldtimers' Hockey Challenge tour is family fun entertainment appearing in over 60 cities from coast to coast in Canada. It is the most successful tour of its kind in North America. The CFAR Media Celebrity Hockey Team will take on the Legendary Hockey Heroes with Eddie Shack as the special referee to benefit Flin Flon Special Olympics. A portion of the sale price of each ticket will be donated to this worthy cause. The Oldtimers Challenge is designated to give fans and players alike an opportunity to celebrate a common joy of the game while at the same time generating much needed awareness and funds for worthy organizations. The tele-canvassing and marketing for this event in Flin Flon started earlier this week, so when we call, be sure to order your tickets.
